If you are interested in learning to play the flute or sharpening your existing skills, I would love to have you as a student. I teach private flute lessons in my home in Castro Valley, California (weekdays only). Students of all ages are welcome. I have played flute for over thirty years, and have taught private lessons for over ten years. My undergraduate studies in music were done at Indiana University and Columbia University; my graduate studies in music were done at Holy Names University.
Weekly lessons will be tailored to your needs. I will assign you scales, exercises and songs that are appropriate for your skill level. We can focus on classical repertoire, or I can teach you how to improvise and play jazz flute. It’s up to you.
